As I sit and watch the first night of the Democratic National Convention yelling at the TV during every key note speech like it was the Super Bowl I begin to think. . . . Holy Cow I am a nerd. I mean a nerd on a whole different level. Do I have my priorities straight? All I watch on TV, listen to on the radio, and read in books is news, politics, and religion. It has become an obsession. So am I a political crack addict looking for his next "8 Ball" or are my priorities all mixed up like a drunk frat brat screaming “DON’ TAZE ME BRO”? Of course I am going to say no. Why? Well I refused to pay dues for friends so I was not in a fraternity, and I remember hearing "8 Ball" on Miami Vice when I was a kid so I figured it had to do with drugs. Back to the point.
The founding fathers believed that only an informed actively involved citizenry will maintain the Democratic Republic that is the greatest country the planet has ever known...and yes I mean The United States of America. So I watch the Democratic National Convention not because I agree with anything, I mean absolutely nothing that is said. I disagree too the point that watching this Convention depresses me, and insults me; which leads me to my point. Where is the inspiration? Where is the hope? Where are the intelligent informative speeches of change?
I agree our country should always be on the path of constant improvement. BO is definitely representative of this improvement. He is the first Black American to ever be a nominee for President of the United States where just 40+ years ago he would be confined to the back of the bus, but I am tired of listening to this empty suit and his supporters telling me how evil the United States is. How the United States is the problem. How the World isn’t what it should be. (Side note: Is he not running for the President of the USA but apparent savior World?). It depresses me. I don't need Barrack Obama. I don't need Ted Kennedy, may God be with him during his trying time, and I sure as hell don't need Jimmy Carter. All these Gentlemen, to use the word loosely, are depressing. We don't need depressing, elitist, big government innuendo laden speeches.
What we need is someone that is going to remind us of our history. Help us focus on the good we have accomplished and help us move past the negative of where we came from, and inspire us in what we can still accomplish. None of these empty speeches did that.
They depressed me because they still see the country through the prism of the 60’s & 70’s. They assume that they are smarter than us. That their policies will provide for us because we the lowly proletariat are too stupid and uneducated to provide for ourselves. This is the foundation of Socialism. Make everyone a victim of something that can only be solved by the Government.
Socialism is what these big name liberals have been working towards. Socialism is the antithesis to capitalism. It will cancel out American generosity, and will destroy the idea of American Exceptionalism. Barrack and Michelle Obama (Even the new softer Den Mother Michelle) is the culmination of these men depressing policies and ideals, he is nothing new, and he is without a doubt a socialist. From Universal Healthcare to a non-military mandatory public enforcement agency, to Universal preschool and the "Living" Wage, all old tired socialist ideas. This is not new change or audacious hope, this is just the same failed policies in a new audaciously victimized minority package.
One more note. As predicted by many prior to the DNC Convention the Obama’s have taken a huge leap towards the center in regards to their image, but as much as they would like us to believe Barrack or Michelle Obama are not one of us. They are not typical Americans being punished by our babies clinging to our guns and religion. Neither is Jimmy Carter, and Ted Kennedy is as close to Bourgeoisie Royalty as you can get in America. I mean he is a Kennedy can anyone relate to a Kennedy besides a Kennedy or Austrian Bodybuilders/Actors.
My point being is that we didn’t go to Ivy League Schools. We have never received a 150% pay raise (Michelle Obama). Most of us (all races included) do not benefit from affirmative action. We probably had to have an actual job while in college, if we attended college. We probabaly bought our houses without the involvement of a convicted felon (Tony Resco). We have directly contributed to the productivity and prosperity of this great nation and worked for a living instead of making a living by generating an imagined victimization of the “Working Man” (i.e. proletariat) by “Big Business” (i.e. Bourgeoisie). We usually refuse to view ourselves as a victim short changed by society, and do not blame others for our lack of success, or condemn others for their success. Finally we probably would not maintain a close relationship with hate filled "Christian" Leaders.
Socialistic activists with a good speech do not impress me no matter what color package they come in. Especially when they preach that prosperity is the problem, too much freedoms is the problem, big business is the problem, profit is the problem, we are just not smart enough to know that all these things are evil, and Government is good. Sadly I am not real sure the other side feels much different, but for this week the focus is on the Hussein Obama....I mean Barrack Obama, you know that guy with the funny name.

The New New Conservative, McCain, Ike, and Tina
Why is that the only candidate I would like to sit down and have a beer with is Barrack "Ike" Obama? None of these candidates are likeable or have political convictions backed up by historical fact. Granted I disagree with everything that comes out of his mouth, and you could promise 40 virgins in heaven to me and I would still not vote for him, but he is the only one that seems genuine and consistent. He has consistently prostelatized his socialist propaganda and policies since the beginning of his political career. Which is the least I could say for any of the other candidates on either side. Also he has handled the Clinton Machine marvelously turning Hillary "Tina" Clinton into the battered female so much so that she has cried on National television, then tried to play the race card and blame it on him. Obama has busted her balls in every debate they have had. And we all know that a black man will out witt a white woman every time in a "Yo Mama so...." contest. And thats all the Democrat campaign has really been a contest between two personalities and witt.
As far as policies are concerned the only difference between "The Obama" and Hillary is when they opposed the war in Iraq. Obama always, and Hillary whatever audience she was making a speech too. Other than that they are the same candidate. I think Hillary seceretly wants to discover if what they say about black men is true...you know...and Bill wants to watch.....But I digress. So why are they fighting? I believe to make a good show. I have said it before and I will say it again the democrat ticket was pre-ordained. Obama/Hillary 08 or Hillary/Obama 08. Its going to happen. It has to happen. They are on the same page on every issue, and one can not win without the other, or gain more power without the other, and thats all they want. POWER.
Speaking of power McCain I believe craves it more than any other candidate on the ticket. If I have to choose between McCain and Hillary or Obama I may not vote. Lately he has been touting himself as a Regan conservative. I am too lazy to put actual quotes but I watched the debates and read the articles. So he is trying to redefine himself as a conservative where his recent voting record, policy record, and speeches would make liberal wackos like Ted Kennedy, and Russ Feingold proud......Wait their names were on the bills right next to McCain. Thats right McCain/Feingold probably the biggest attack on political free speech this century. McCain/Kennedy the illegal immigration amnesty bill, "Viva McCain...McCain el presidente". McCain/Lieberman The attack Big Business and embrasement of Global Warming as its defined by Al "End of the World" Gore. And to top it off his recent debate diatribes pushing class warfare and hatred of big business. The same businesses that provide most of the jobs and fuel for our powerful economy.
Powerful economy? Yes I said powerful economy, and there is only one candidate that has any actual experience running economies, or business. Mitt Romney is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to management, and as far as the President is concerned thats all he really is, is a great manager. The problem I have with Romney is I don't know if he is a liberal in Conservative clothing. I respect anyone that changes their mind, but it was awful late in life before he started acting conservative. Despite his so called flip flopping, he is the only candidate that I think I can vote for. He has real management and executive experience. He is preaching conservative policies and values, and if he is elected he is not just moving down the street to a different office. I believe a Romney/Jeb Bush ticket would be perfect. hahaha another Bush. Yeah I know, I know I think he his 100 times better than his brother. Don't be surprised if you don't see Jeb in 2012.
